There a couple of guys on here that use porsche big reds with 2-peice 322x32mm discs. Most people just change pads and discs TBH.

I'm using brembo 323x28mm cross drilled discs with galfer 1065 race pads and when i get round to it i will be installing my aston monobloc calipers:-

Have you tried upgrading the pads first? if so to what?

Also upgrade to some decent brake fluid....I upgraded to motul from my boiled OE slop and it was far better.

Also it's the disks that are the weak link IMO, take your car on track and you will find out.....upgrade to 2 piece disks if you want better performance.

I upgraded my pads, went grooved discs, and changed my brake lines to strong metal braided. And changed the fluid to a good fast road/race fluid such as Motul.

Transformed the car, the Brembo's actually perform as they were supposed to.

I do like the ecs stage V. Especially the calipers.

What you going to do for discs tho once there shot? Ive heard ecs are having problems with casting IIRC.

Good point, I did think of that before I put them on. I only do about 3k miles a year in the cupra, drive my works van for the rest of the time  , so by the time they wear out the car will be long gone and it will be somebody elses problem..hopefully !!

Nice brakes Yumann, but is there any chance of resizing your pics from 2048x1536 to something a bit smaller?

Ive put AP racing 2 piece disks on mine, braided hoses, new uprated fluid and some ferrado pads. iF the car stops any quicker it will rip your eye balls out of there sockets. Granted I bet the proka brakes will be better but depends on how much you want to spend and what you can get hold of. Im sure if you put your brembos up for sale someone will have your arm off for them. But for me there spot on with the other parts upgraded. If you really want some good stopping power go carbon metallic disks but they will feck your wheels with dust!

On another note how come some "groves" go the opposite way to others? Even though there fitted correctly in each operation?

Fair point mate ;) I was going to get the stage V myself but luckly i realised the discs were hard to get hold of (i do a lot of miles) and the distributor of ecs were having difficultys getting hold of the brake kit.

I've heard that alot of the people with ecs turn to ap discs with custom bells.

Im going to run std 323 first then going for porsche 993tt discs readily available from porsche which is better suited for the aston calipers cause there wider.

Whast the price like on those disks? I know the LCR disk is a one off size almost so prices are high. I take it poka brakes as resonable in comparison?
