This may sound stupid but.... That red thing i take is a battery cover????

If so wot did you use to paint it??? As i'd like to paint my Engine Cover and Air box as i aint got the time to take all the bits off and polish!!!!!!

This may sound a little stupid aswell and correct me if i'm wrong, but i think he used red paint for the battery cover.

DPJ, no, not uglier than that. That's the shittiest paintjob i've seen in a while.

My problem is that i can't do major changes; for example.
The roads here are full of pot holes so it would be suicide to:
Get new spoilers, get 17" wheels ( i got 15" wheels right now; they're perfect for the roads here ) or even fit on sport suspention.

Paint is lush. Suits the car. I like the arches and the wheels.

Your car looks very nice.
I've just got a Y-reg pre-facelift Cupra too. It's good to know I can get it looking very good as and when the funds permit, at the moment it's totally standard and looking a bit dull. I want to do something with the exterior, but nothing OTT.

What bumpers and skirts are on the picture you posted in this thread? Are they the standard MY03 ones, or aftermarket?

I'm tempted to add them to mine to give a more aggressive stance but have been holding off in case they wouldn't "look right". After seeing your before and after pics I really want to do this now.

the bits i fitted are : Cupra R front bumper, MY03/Cupra R (they are the same) sideskirts, MY03 rubstrips (painted) and MY03 rear bumper. improves the look, dont you think?
