those were the 1st set of rims i was going to opt for. but i realised you'd have to go crazy low to minimise the gap between arch and tyre which = damaged sumps, damaging body panels and generally a pain in the arse! if you're not going to slam it, and opt for comfortness, that's always the other option. i know what it's like to run 16's on an 80mm drop on my old polo. wasn't that bad in comparison to the ibiza because the arches aren't as big.
personally i think 16's look a lot better then 17's on the ibiza if you lower it enough on 16's it looks right, the proobelm with 17's isn't the arch gap but the car body to floor gap, a lowered car shuld look lowered not be on stilts but with no gap between tyres and body.
ive got 8x16's and 9x16's on my ibiza decent ride nothing catchs,still sits really low aswell. Also wen i had my D90's had coilovers and bottom of thread and still nothing serious caught.
