Hi guys,

had a search and read all the relevant information. i'm just a bit concerned and wondered if someone could clear a few things up.

my mate is quite a competent mechanic and were setting aside the weekend of 2-3rd december to fit my K03s. it is booked into jabba for the morning of the 4th dec. i've left my £50 deposit. but i'm a bit worried about losing it. as i wanted to book the re-map in as soon as it was fitted to avoid having to drive round unmapped. will a competent mechanic (he's done engine conversions etc) be able to do a K03s in a day? it looked quite complicated when we did my downpipe. and from searching the forum i found some ppl say it can take about 8 hours, some say 2hrs and some say a full weekend job?

i also wanted to double check i have everything, because i don't want to go to Jabba and my car not be specced up properly. i have;

Green Dynatwist
Forge 007DV
Blueflame downpipe and cat back
Ko3s with Forge actuator
Samco TIP
4 bar FPR
Forge FMIC

i've also got a new fitting kit as listed in the sticky at the top of the forum.

do i need any special/unusual tools for the K03s? cus i don't want to be left stranded in the sunday without tools.

thanks guys, appreciate it.

Get some oil. you might find it easiest to drain it all out.

but s a bare minimum you'll need a fair bit to top up

have you got the use of a ramp in a garage , if not using axel stands will be a bitch of a job, took me and my mechanic mate in his garage about 6 hours inc tea breaks.

yep. were using my mates ramps at his garage. should be much easier!!! :D

just had a thought. will the blueflame 2.75" downpipe that i've got on my K03 at the moment be a straight fit onto the K03s?

gallon of coolant also needed.

get an old 16mm spanner.. and bend it, makes taking the downpipe off easier.

also.. the turbo comes out the top

claude - when we did the downpipe last week we just cut a 17mm spanner?! lol. should it be 16mm? i will see when we do the turbo.

Its a straight forward job, and too a competent Tech easy, only problem i encountered was with my ATP manifold.

Realistically if you take your time it will take most of a day 5 - 6 hours or so.
