LCR Castrol Oils?

Been onto the castrol website and they recommend edge 5w30. Anyone on here use this or know of a better alternative? They also do 0w40 edge sport, which i have used before in another car and still have some left of, would that be suitable?

Ive tried the halfords sport oil but changed back to standard rated stuff as its a little thicker and wont leak through seals as easily. my turbo went two weeks after changing mine to the halfords sport with failed oil seals, call me cautious but ill not be using it again. (for ref the 0w stuff is more recommended for track events etc not constant cold starts.)
Oil doesnt make your car any faster so why risk its reliability?

I would have thought the "0" part would be useful for cold starts.

It's the other number you'd need to be higher. Don't know with a Leon but the GTi-6 lot tend to use 10w-50 for track work.

Slight hijack but does anyone know what oil SEAT dealers are putting in LCRs? Need to top mine up a bit and they were the last lot to do it. I'd ring them but I'll probably get the wrong answer!

Sorry, youre right, not with it this morning, what i meant was its not for every day start stop driving that I would tend to do . The way i understand it, it runs back down to the sump quicker so every time I stop for say half an hour while on site, I come back out and the majority of oil has run back out of the head into the sump where thicker stuff (10w) might still be in the process of returning down, something similar to the magnatec theory.
