Can't believe its not std on a Cupra (R/FR/etc) when it comes as standard on any Toledo SE (V5, TDI and 20v's) just doesn't make sense when the Cupras are the top of the range model! Love my foldy mirrors :p

BTW do Cupra's have cruise as standard as well cos the Leon TDI SE was swizzled by not having it as us Tolly owners have it as std :p

Mine are folding and supposedly heated.

How far in does the offside mirror fold in for you guys? In the manual it says that they don't fold in the same amount. I've only tried using it once and the drivers side folded all the way in but the offside didn't seem to move much, not sure exactly how much it did fold in as i didn't get out to check.

Also, exactly how hot are the mirrors supposed to get and how long does it take? I left the heater on a good 5-10 minutes and my drivers side mirror was barely warm to the touch. I'm guessing that's not hot enough right? The guy who owned the car before me has fitted the optional blue tint mirrors. Any chance they're not wired up properly ??

The mirrors fold in but not to certain that its touching the window. The mirrors should defrost the same amount of time as the rear window or may be quicker as the mirrors are smaller. there could be chance of the mirrors not warmin properly. are these after market glass or orignal upgrade from dealers?

I don't know if they're an original upgrade. I would suspect not as I can't believe the amount of heat being given off at the moment (by the drivers side at least, I haven't checked the passenger side) would melt anything and I very much doubt the previous owner wouldn't have had it fixed under warranty as he is the orginal purchaser of the car.

So I'm guessing its something he has done himself.

I suppose I'll have to wait till they get frosted/misted up to see if they're working properly. I've never had heated wing mirrors before so I suppose I was expecting it to be hot enough to make raindrops disappear but thinking about it that would probably be too hot right?

It will warm up certain extent, but sumthing that you be able to feel it much. Yeh the best time to check when its frosty. Heated mirrors dont exactly evaorate water. they jus heat it up so it does not frost up

you should see it working when its frosty,

Ok thanks, I suppose they're probably working then. I'll just have to wait and see.

If you have the symbol under you mirror knob like this then you have the folding mirrors, just turn any the knob until the mirrors start to fold, they should also be heated just give them time to warm up, by pressing the heated rear window switch next to the hazard lights switch.

Mine's an 02 Cupra, pre-facelift, it has folding and heating mirrors and this was standard - but I thought the post-facelift Cupra got the folding mirrors deleted, no doubt to keep the price down with all that lovely extra kit that you CAN see. BUT it seems to me that with the Leon there is an exception to every rule and they kind of messed about with the spec all the time.
