So,

After reading Rob thread about the VAGCom logs on his car, I just went out and did some logs on mine. I think they look ok but I wonder if someone can confirm that everything is happy! :)

was this 2nd or 3rd gear per chance? Reason I say is that your actual boost never matches requested and its over too quick to be detailed enough to be informative.

if you can only log in 3rd (roads too short!) then only run a single block at a time as the more you run (to a max of 3) the slower the sample rate.

ok,, will see if I can get another one done today and will try a 4th gear log, if I can.

Also, someone on "the other side" mentioned the timing...

"By the looks of the logs it is pulling over 18' of timing.... thats not good (if it's doing that)."

But has not said why? And if it is bad, what do I need to to do fix it?

for timing i think ideally you want to log your cf's which is block 020 if i remember rightly. that will show you all four cylinders, as i said maybe run 2 or 3 identical runs and log each set of block seperately so that you are getting more than one sample per second.
If you are having high cf's (over 5 id say) then its either down to crap petrol or the air going into the engine is very hot, of course there could be many other reasons but these are an example of what causes it. Better grade petrol ie optimax, super 97 or 98 ron fuel doesnt detonate as early as normal 95 rated stuff, maybe worth putting a tank of better fuel in if you havent already and disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes (leave a door open to discharge any residual leccy still in the wiring) then try the logging.

your timing shouldnt be too bad if you are using better fuel then mate. ignore that btc log you ran for now and try the cf readings.

I did a run on group 20 as well and they read 0 most of the time, however there is a section where they go up to 3, then 2.3 and then back to 0. Another bit where they read 1.5 and then 0.8.

Is that ok?

look ok to me.

I sometimes see highish cfs on cylinder 4 (i think its further away from the air intake, so its usually 4 that has the higher cf's) - i think i've seen some 6's at one point.

But since the FMIC I've actually been able to increase the timing/boost with no ill effects :clap:

A fmic should definitely be next on your shopping list.
As you can see your intake temps are hitting 50oc max at the moment and it is pretty cold outside at this time of year. Come summer time your temps are going to be alot higher and if your intake temps get to high then your ecu will pull the timing back. (CF's block 020)
A good fmic should reduce your intake temps alot. Then if you want to you should be able to advance the timing to get even more power.
