sounds strange for a garage to phone a customer to advise them their car is smoking after they've fitted an exhaust which would have no effect on the engine smoking, sounds like they've broken something and dont want to take libility for it, have a good look around and under the engine bay when u pick it up, in fact ask them to put the car on the ramp so you can check underneath

Mate, dont worry, When mine was fitted it smoked on the way home (about 20 mile drive) After a few days & miles it stopped, Its just where its new thats all ;)

could be a number of things really. when i had my new exhaust fitted to the williams that smoked for about 5 mins. the bloke said depending on where the exhaust was stored it could of collected condensation.....bit unlikely but the smoke did stop.

Like someone has said could also be left over compound in the actualy unit that is burning away slightly.

Or worse case they have damaged something or the turbo has gone.....
