Does anyone know how much a speaker grill is and where can I get it from?
I did look on ebay, but i couldn't find anything!
I was on my way back from bristol and my friend in his drunkly state managed to brake the grill for the speaker in the door behind the driver!!!
I think I will have to :ban: him from my car for a while!

Are you sure?
Does that mean i need to get a bloody panel!!
That can't be right just for grill!!
Tell me about it, and i only had the car for 3 weeks, excluding the amount of time the dealer had to fox the problems!!!

Just had a quick look on ETOS and it shows no replacement part, so prob means new door card! but it is only welded in a few places (spot plastic welding?) so could be cheeky in a breakers with a drill bit and remove one and glue into your door?

That's a joke man! [:@] I can't belive you have to replace the whole door card just for the stupid speaker grill.
I think I will ring around some scrap yards to see if I find anything.
How much will a new door card cost if I can't find one second hand?

yeah, just means more bloody hassle then i thought!
How easy is it to get the door card off?
There is a scrappy near me so I will give them a call at lunch and might pop down the dealer as well see how it will cost from them!

Front door cards - pop the handle cover off ( large flat blade screwdriver does the trick here ) Undo the two screws inside this that hold the door handle to the door and remove the two torx bolts from the bottom of the door. Gently pull the door card away from the door and pop the clips off - you may snap these if you don't pull straight. Once that's done, lift the door card up and it comes away. Unplug the tweeters, electric windows, mirrors, courtesy light and unclip the door handle cable holder and remove the cable hook from the door handle.

Couple of pics showing inside the door skin and what the inner panel looks like - ignore the white stuff on the door skin, yours won't have that on it :)

Nice one brova!!
Cheers for that UncleFester! :funk:
That seems really easy, just need to find one now, which I think will prove harder then taking the door card off!
What's with the white stuff? noise insulation?

yeah just sound deadening, it's air conditioning filter. Can you not glue the speaker cover back to the inside of the door or has it been bent beyond repair?

Just a thought when you pop that door handle cover off, try and work along the bottom edge of it so that if you do leave marks they can't be seen. Once you've got a gap opened it's easy enough. I didn't break any of the 4 when i took them off but i did snap a few of the retaining trim clips, these are cheap ( 3 quid for a pack of ten) so if you do need them they're available.

Dont know what to do now, maybe i could live with it!
Do you think it will cause a problem when it comes to selling it?
It's only a little crack but i am so annoyed because i have only had the car for 2-3 months!!

I would leave it for now and if you see a door card come up on ebay, there won't be that many people who want just the one doorcard so you might get lucky, maybe leave it a while and see if it bothers you as much in say a months time?
