da wha ?

pop the indicators out and undo the ends - 3 screws (or is it 4) in the top and pull it out gently and use a long screwdriver to undo the clips by the lamps

I did mine a couple of weeks back! Its not the hardest job but give yourself a couple of hours to do it as the tricky bit is taking the original grill out of the housing! The way to getting the grill off the car is by undoing the three screws that hold the grill to the car, then take the indicators out (very simple just push the clip in)! Then there are two little bolts that hold the curved bits to just below the indicators juts loosen them and pull up. Don't even if your tempted try to remove the headlights, as they are pain to get back on! The clips that are below the headlights are like three bits of plastic, only the middle one does anything! You have to stick a long screw driver under it and push up, this is a little bit tricky but keep trying until it pops out! The original grill is held on with plastic rivets, I couldn't think of an easy way to get them off, so I drilled at them for bit and then used a sharp chisel in a circual motion to get the edges! The original grill was surprisingly undamaged and I didn't scratch my car at all when removing it, which means it can't be a hard job as i did it!

This is the finished job, I added a little red seat badge which I think looks quite smart? Though I am not to sure about the eyelids yet, which is why I have only attached them with a chunk of blue tac!

Did mine at the weekend - I broke my clips under the headlights, whoops. Although mine only had one side screwed on.

Some konbhead in a 4*4 hit my grill with their tow bar when I was a student. I was watching out of my attic bedroom window cos I had a feeling that she was a shite driver by the way she was revving around a culdesac. They cracked it and wedged the grill in place. And drove off before I could get out of the house. Didnt have any probs loosening the centre bit, but had a wee prob on the right wingy bit beneath the lights. I've filled and sanded it now, put some new mesh in and stuff. But any ideas on how I can fix the clip thing back now that its snapped? Its sticking a couple of mm out...

Ibiza_streg - where did you get the little red seat badge? I like it. - Keep the eyebrows and put them on properly - I like em. Got mine on order from the bay on (should arrive this week)

I got the badge off ebay for like a fiver, but I had to search my house for something to stick to that would attach to the grill. I ended up hacking a thing for holding ipods on your dasboard as it had a flush face to it and a bolt at the back.

The eyebrows no longer exist as my temporary blue tac fitment did not surfice as I saw one fly off and then get run over behind me, guessing it was fate? Oh well didn't want £12 anyway!

I took my grille out by giving it a good old whack, then when I wanted to put it back in, I simply found some short screws and bolted them into the old pegs.

unclip the clips in the grill, 2 at the top, 2 at the bottom, 1 at either side. be very carefull, they may be brittle

The grill may be bolted into the wings, I have only seen this on a few ibiza's

clean and put it back together

good luck
