Hi everyone. Thinking of getting a remap on my diesel fr. the remap itself will cost about £400 from the place near me. just need some more information about what else i'd need to put on it eg brakes, intercooler etc and how much it would cost as im a poor student....:(

Well a bit more info then just a "diesel fr" would be helpful mate. Make, model, year etc and what you want at the end of it would be helpful.

Diesel FR sorta narrows it down alot m8y! PD130 2004-Present?

So, a remap will see around 170bhp, which in itself wont need anything else done.

But you might want to consider a 312mm brake upgrade (due stopping to help stop the extra power!) a FMIC to cope in the hot weather with all that boost! Maybe coilovers to keep the speed round corners 2?

All covered in the FAQ area of the MK4 section, or a seach.

Depends what remap you are going for..

if you are going for a mild map then you shouldn't need a FMIC but it's a good extra to buy..

I'd highly recomend upgrading disc's & Pads on any remap better to be safe than sorry is my way of thinking...

Or instead of a remap you can pay me £150 and I have a dragon chip, it just connects to the car (nice and easy) and more power... lol.. I had it on my 19 TDI Sport which was the first FR's... had no issues with it.. currently it's just sat in me garage waiting for Ebay.. lol

Altho all this does is make the car overfuel a bit to give more power so not brilliant for long term usage..

On mine? I have 3500 on it at the moment. How many horsies does the dragon put it up by?
