Glad you're OK. The only good thing to come out of this is it seems Leon's are up to german safety levels - looking at the pics it doesn't at all look like car rolled over a few times. I've seen other cars (nissan sunny comes to mind) that look a lot worse after just rolling on it's side.

As everyone said, hope you get better soon and take it easy for a while.

Morning all.

Getting stiffer by the hour today and im taking about my neck, back, sholders, legs etc :p

The driver of the other car was around oap age. She told police that she didnt move to the fast lane but the damage on the cars sugest otherwise. She also admited to not indicating or seeing me before the colision. This was at 8pm with my lights on and im bloody yellow !

Im not going to salvage anything off the car apart from the pod and gauges which will be for sale and my headunit which ill keep if it works.

Holy ****!

Glad your OK mate, fingers crossed you will get paid without hassle, hope the Fuzz stick to there guns about who's fault it was.

The fact she did not see you should help the cause, why did the Civic change lanes anyhow if they were not overtaking anything?

Main thing is you weren't more seriously injured. As others have said, it's not the first time I've seen pics of a Leon after a high speed roll and I am greatly reassured by how the basic structure stands up. I guess if you had had a front seat passenger they might have come off somewhat worse.

Still they are sobering pics and should remind us all that we are not immune. Good luck with your recovery.

Best of luck with getting a good resolution. Insurance companies can be massive pains in the arse - main thing is that you're okay (ish).

Having been in an accident earlier this year (although not as bad as yours) i can appreciate how you must be feeling, the thing that i found best to do was acknowledge it all and get back in a car as soon as possible, I still check my rear view mirror for every red light now though.

Really impressed with how the Leon took that, i thought it would just have gone over on one side from the pics until i read your post. It might give you bad memories of the car but at least your around to have them.

Get well soon

The other driver is at total fault, police have stated this in report although 3rd party are denying it.

I wouldn't hold your breath and count on what the police say.

It they realy do blame the TP they surely are prosecuting????

Our lass had a realy bad one a few years back, TP drov on wrong side of road and hit our lass head on. Closing speed.......120mph.

She was stuck in her metro for 2 hours before they managed to get her out.

Spent a week in hosital but effectively walked away with relatively little injury, she still can't remember the 24 hrs.

Any back to police, they said will sort it all out and get her some good money etc.

They moved car to storage that cost a fortune etc.

In the ned they got her nothing and the guy wasn't even prosecuted, it wa snot in the public interest.

Being in the business (now a manager at solicitors), I sorted out her substancial claim and in doing so found out the other guy was trying to top himself.

Now the realy ironic bit, despite te guy having his licence took off him, he tried it again 2 years later (almost to the day) and failed again but htis time he hit a mother and child!

To confirm, do not rely on the police, start your on ball moving.

Get yourself a decent solicitor.

Glad your ok man, car looks a mess, my next door neighbour has just got an identical Yellow one, so I wont show her this thread!

I think the UK has gone mad, we should be able to take out private prosecutions against t*ts on the road like this.

The other day the wife and 5 month old son took my Leon Tdi Fr to her mums as her RAV4 eats petrol. On the way home she was doing about 70 in the slow lane on the A38 with traffic passing her on the right. There is a slip road which is actually a stop not a real slip road.

So she sees this bint in a car waiting to pull out, and to her horror the bint then just pulls out, from what the wife said, probably about 50 meters or so. She hammers the brakes, (luckly she knows how ABS works), but had nowhere to move to (traffic to the right, barriers to the left), but somehow pulls up inches from this t*t that pulled out...who by the way is still oblivious to the near pile up she has caused (luckily no-one was behind the wife).

So she then goes round t*t beeping, and t*t in the other car give her the bird!...Shame it wasnt me in the car, as I would have pulled her over and given her a beating, for putting the life of my 5 month old son at risk.

I am just so glad she was in the Leon and not the RAV4, and I never rated the brakes before now:) I guess I will need more tyres soon, the wife said all she could smell was burning rubber.

Anyway rant over - I HATE T*TS on the road who dont look, or just dont care.

Glad your OK, get another Leon, it saved your life!

Hi andi, hope your feeling better. This is not the first lcr i've seen rolled, i know a guy in glasgow who did a better job than you and he walked away, he now has another one because he reckons the strength of the leon's bodyshell saved his life. You have to ask yourself the question, would you be around now if you'd been driving a ford or a tinny vauxhall or something french? I always feel safe in the leon as i know how strong they are.

All the best mate.
