Well I was on my way home about 8pm heading north on a duel carriageway called the A9 approaching the Munlochy turn off which is a right turn.
I was in the fast lane about to overtake a civic when suddenly and with no indicating pulled in to my lane. Approx speeds were me doing 75-80 and the 3rd party doing 55-60.
Having only 2 seconds aprox to react I braked and swerved to the right to avoid but was to late and hit the offside corner of the civic sending me round and over the top of there car landing hard on the middle of the carriageway and rolling about 4-5 times then on to the wheels.

I was conscious throughout and managed to climb out of car. I was the only one to phone emergency services. The other 2 people were taken in to a warm car whilst I was left at the road side until fire fighters realised I was cold and in major shock. I was seen to paramedics within 20mins of the accident to which I was only given a blanket.
Upon arrival of the hosp I felt very painful back injurys and was bleeding from my face.
After many x-rays and an overnight stay I have a crushed vertebrae and swollen joins.

Not to bad for a night work.

Oh yeah and the 3rd party driver and passenger were fine and went straight home.

OWCH.

Looks pretty bad in teh pics too.

at least you're 'okish' but mind the back..... who's at fault? Nobody in the eyes of insurance?

I think you can safely say your LCR has bought the farm.

Nice to see the Leon stands up to some serious battering,

Funny what you've said about the Emergancy Services, very similar thing happened to me when i spun my car down the M6 and then burried it into a tree, me and my mate weren't even looked at by the Paramedics, Yet some middle aged women who hadn't hit a thing and only had to brake gently to avoid the whole thing had about 3 paramedics round her giving her Oxygen and everything ! Really.

Hope they admit full liability !!

sorry to hear about your misfortune andi mate, but as long as your alright thats all that matters, f**k the car mate they're only bits of metal, easily replaceable unlike your health, i've driven the A9 a few times myself and theres som nuggets drive that road, people in 4x4's overtaking 5 cars as a blind bend approaches etc. scary stuff indeed. best of luck with the bad back mate, i know how that feels. :( on a lighter note are you selling your revo. :)

Nothing salvagable im afraid its a total.

The other driver is at total fault, police have stated this in report although 3rd party are denying it.

Still picking glass out of my skull (crunch)

Holy Crap! Glad you're ok though. As said already, metal can be replaced, you can't. So long as you're around to tell the story, everything else can be worked out.

Hope you get it sorted and don't cop the blame from the insurance :(

welcome to the "I've totalled a car and lived" club. It'll be a good storey to tell in a few months time when you're fine and dandy again.

Glad you are ok.

Proper job that
