all in all i am well chuffed with this yellow beastie. still being relatively gentle with it. it has ok steering feel and grips loads better than my fabia did even with eibach springs and a strut brace! ride is very firm to the point of being crashy but expect that will lighten up as the miles progress. one thing i will miss is the low washer fluid warning from the fabia. ibiza doean`t have one. booo  . on the subject of washers do headlamp washers stop working when the fluid gets too low? i tried mine today and they didn`t work but windscreen washers still do. on the minus side i have managed to scuff an alloy and chip the drivers door already.

seats are not as comfortable as the fabia`s either. too firm and lack a little bit of support but that may also change with use. haven`t tried any mp3`s in the stereo yet either. also i need to get the sill protectors as soon as poss cos i`m starting to mark them already with my big feet!

with the headlight washers they will only work on every third cycle so every third go when you use the washers for over 2 seconds the headlight washers will work:clap:

the stereo in standard form is quite good, i was very impressed first time i put an mp3 disc in at how loud it would go without distorting

that was my only criticism of both my Ibizas, the suspension is rock hard but gets too crashy. This is purely down to seats choice of damper and spring, cos i would say my Mini Cooper S is a lot stiffer than the beeza however the suspension soaks up bumps really well.

Although one thing i noticed was that the TDi was a lot better ride than the 1.8T which i was surprised at, must be the extra weight of the big old derv block and maybe slightly better mateched springs on the TDi to weight. which may be what you noticed comiong from a TDi fabia

If it's that new and that crashy check they haven't left the packing blocks in the suspension!
I've had an Ibiza 130 and Fabia vRS and don't remember the Ibiza being that bad compared between the two.

i have a 1.4 sport in crono ! 05 plate problem is i havnt got it .....yet pick her up saturday maybe friday if i can get there early enough will my ibiza have headlamp washers????

05 plate - probably pre-facelift. If it is it won't be crono, it'll be ovni IIRC and I dont remember headlight wash being an option pre-facelift, it wasn't on my last FR.

Strange Ant, my FR1.8T is less crashy than my 130PD Sport - maybe they revised the settings for all FR's, however the biggest improvement is the Koni sport kit I have fitted. The car now rides like a more mature car rather than a bouncy beeza..............
