Throttle problem / EPC light

Basically from time to time i have this intermittant fault on my Cupra , when changing gear the revs flick up 1000-1500rpm on there own between gear changes (very annoying) , occasionally the EPC light will come on for a short period of time then turn off , when it turns off it seems to cure the problem ? I've read in my manual that the EPC light is the throttle position/sensor ?

Anyone else had this problem ?

where do the clutch pedal sensors need to be screwed to? is it so the switch is completely pushed in when the clutch isnt bein pressed or does it not matter? hope that made sense

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but praise me for my time & effort searching!!

My car has the same problem stated in the 1st post...and my engine management is continuosly on.

I've looked for a throttle body leak, but cannot find one. I shall re-align the throttle body tonight/tomorrow...but im now thinking its related to the clutch pedal switch/sensor?

I had a look at the sensor, and the white thread type thing which holds the sensor/switch is right the way bc i.e. all of the white thread is visable, is this right?

Should i be able to see the screw thread on the white plastic part of the sensor?

Thank you for any help/suggestions!
