Hi All, I’m wondering if we could collectively put together a useful reference document of vac/boost pipes to check for leaks and the size of silicone hosing required to replace them (where applicable).

I’m doing this for 2 reasons, selfishly I have a boost leak and would like to use the collective knowledge of SCN to hunt it down. Unselfishly I think it would be a good document to consult if anyone else has a boost leak they need to find in the future.

After some searching I came up with…(Corrections Welcome)

Top of DV – 3mm ID
Around N75 – 3mm ID

Thanks

met up with adam earlier today

checked for any faults with vagcom, no errors, done some logging on the following:-
request vs actual boost, maf values and intake temps

temps went through the roof doing a 4th gear run from 1.5k to 6.5k but this is due to standard smic i think, checked all pipes/hoses and request vs actual boost confirmed no leaks, maf values peaked @ 140gs (put this down to having standard airbox with no custom feed) (running revo stg1 fyi)

however, during the run he was getting a very noticable hsssssing noise ONLY when under load, which appeared to be coming from aroung the brake servo hose area when doing logs, he has had this replaced with a new part, seems to have been installed correctly, had a good nosey around and their doesnt appear to be anything wrong at all

anyone have any ideas?
