relocating battery to boot?

can anyone help me with this im interested in puttin my battery in to the boot as i could put my air-filter just behind the headlight,
what would i need for this could i do this myself or is it an auto electritians job?

Do it yourself mate, im doing mine asap. Just need some **** off thick cable and a battery box.

It's not a case of cost it's a case of how long... they are made to order and only then after theres a batch order of 10 people. Think A&M are going to be doing another run of them shortly, drop Addo or Mike a PM.

my mate is buyin a cupra soon and has asked me to take the pipes off to get them made up the same way all he would have to do then is buy the core and the reducers,bends etc, cheaper i think.

Yea, run a proper thick cable from the battery terminal to the boot, needs to be fused properly. Ground the battery to the boot chassis.

Youll either need a gel battery or seal a standard battery in a box with a vent.

not halfords no.... proper motor factors.... I bought some cable which is about 10mm is dia. did the job properly

yeah - i earthed teh battery in the boot, then just ran a single core cable to the 'live' in the engine bay

and not forgetting to secure the battery.
mine has a steel angle frame welded into the boot floor to make a flat surface for it to sit in. It sits in a battery box (sealed) and strapped in securely.
