Car Door Speakers

I have just bought a 1.4 ibiza and there are no door speakers currently installed in the doors, i only have the 4" speakers on the dask and in the rear. They are very poor quality, so i was wondering if it is possible to get speakers installed in the doors or what the other options are.

also a guide as to how much anything would cost would be great.

i would be grateful of any help, cheers

door speakers are easy to fit if the doors are all the same, i replace mine with better quality ones

i beleive they are 17cm speakers if i recall, you may need to remove the plastic holding pins that stick out as my speakers did not fit with them on. you first need to remove the grill on the door, a single screw in the corner holds this in place

removed you can fit them but as i said you may need to remove the plastic pins to fit the speakers

chris , You may find there are NO grilles etc built into the doors of a 1.4.. so it could be slightly more difficult than you 'think'.. ;).. easeist way is to do what I did in my 1.4 ... fit good quality speakers in the dash 'grilles'.. and either 6x9's in the parcel shelf and/or a sub in the boot..:):)

i did not know that it came like that on some models

must be lucky, first mk2 had door and grills and current one has dash as well as door and rear speakers

How easy is it to wire speakers into the back parcel shelf, is it better to get it done proffessionaly? any idea of fitting costs?

I have replaced all the speakers in my 1.4 ibiza!
The dash speakers are 3.25" and I found alot available but they are quite specialist and were lets say fun to fit, they were 150 watt alpines.
Also I got 17cm 150watt alpines that have a universal fitment and they fit perfectly into the front doors!
Then in the back I have a dodgy parcel shelf so didn't want to fit 6 x9's insted I have replaced the 6x4's with 150 watt alpines!
I think that together all of them cost me about £100 and were relatively easy to fit! You don't need any adaptors either!
