Brembo opinions?

My Brembo's are looking a bit scuffed, same as lots of others by the sound of it.

I fancy having them repainted, but have been thinking about getting them done in black, like the range rover sport. I think it might look a bit more 'street sleeper' but what does everyone think?

Plus, any ideas on cost - anyone had a qoute?

Sorry to highjack this thread but my calipers are not scuffed, they are peeling. Been onto seat customer services they wanted pictures taken from a dealer, so off i went to my local dealer, pictures taken and not heared anything yet, even sent an email to see if they recieved the pictures, still no reply. I think my only solution is to have a respray also, again sorry about the highjack.

I saw some black Brembos on a 406 coupe today, I like them! Remember to mask off the Brembo logos though :)

Personaly, I love silver Brembos with black writing, I want some of them behind some black MOs!

i think maybe colour coding them with the car is a good idea? although not sure about with say a blue car, would have silver with a blue car...
but red car, red calipers, black u could do either colour.
Yellow car tho would have to be black calipers i think... (?)

I'd also get a little creative and colour code.

If you have a blue car, why not have blue with a yellow logo/writing? I'm sure I've seen AP Racing brakes in this colour combination and it looks great.

If and when mine get to the stage where they need painting, I'm going to go for yellow with black writing, just to be different! ;)

agree with above, like the silver with blue brembo writing and blue with silver brembo writing, for a red car black with red writing or yellow black with yellow writing

Nothing wrong with yellow callipers, look atthe carbo Porche brakes.

The black brmbos were fitted as standard to v6 406 coupes.

I do like the silver ones on the alfas.

Nb if you are looking at repainting, powercoat.

I did read somewhere onthe net of aomeone who simply relaqured them after they had pealed

If/when seat come back and say the paint finsih onthe callipers is not a warrenty issue, point out that the brembo brakes were/are a major feature of the LCR hence the rears painted to match and the references in the sales material, it is s important as the colour/finish of the wheels and body.

Don't let them fob you off.

My Brembos look pants as well!... Has any one got any prices to get them re-done? Is it just a case of getting them powder-coated or is it more specialised? i.e high temperature paint?

Also, if you want the brembo logo put back on, is it a case of DIY? I doubt over companies would put it back on?

I like the idea of colour coding the breaks - I think it will look good and be a bit different... I think I would do it.

anyone know much about powder coating? How temperature resistant is it? If I had them done I would want them to last, does that mean lots of laquer?

If SEAT ever come back to me and they try to fob me off i will let them know that i have only owned the car for 7 months and that there was nothing wrong wiyh the calipers, if there was i would of got the dealer to sort them before buying the car.
