Stumbled across this link which states that the tracker is fitted as standard to the R225 derivatives. If this is the case why do some adverts mention that there is a tracker fitted whilst others do not. Is it because this extra was added later so not all cars have it (this car is an 05 reg) or is it that people haven't bothered renewing their subscription or haven't because they didn't realise the car had a tracker fitted when they bought it.

Please advise.....

Only came as standard on 53/04/54 plated cars. I do believe some 05 cars also had them fitted but not all!

The tracker is also expensive to keep running and seems to make very little difference to your insurance premium, hence some owners decide not to renew their subscription.

All trackers were a dealer fit option not a factory option so this may also be a reason why some cars don;t have the tracker.

As m1tchy says the 05 / 55 car spec was changed slightly IIRC they deleted the 6cd changer, tracker and something to do with illuminated vanity mirrors etc.....and possibly added Emocion Red instead of Flash Red (although I'm not 100% on the last one)

They were fitted by the dealer but were not an option, standard equipment including first years subscription. I think it changed during '54' plate as my mate has a 54 with no Tracker or CD changer.

Option was the wrong word I meant they were dealer fit so when they stopped / started is hard to pin point unlike factory fitted equipment
