Spent about 4-5hours on Saturday giving the LCR a good old clean!
Basically went through the following procedure:
1. 2-bucket wash with microfibre wash-mit and Megs Gold Class Shampoo
2. Rinsed off and dried with microfibre towel
3. Claybar'd entire car with Megs claybar, and lube made from Gold Class Shampoo
4. Rinsed and dried again with microfibre towel
5. Tyres and Wheels cleaned with Megs Gold Class Shampoo (no proper wheel cleaner to hand!)
6. Tyres dressed with Megs Tyre Shine spray, applied onto sponge, then onto tyres, to prevent spraying the wheels!
7. Used Zymol Cleaner Wax as a stage 1 paint prep, applied using Megs applicator pad, left to haze over and then buffed with microfibre towel
8. Harly Wax applied using Megs applicator pad, left to haze, and then buffed with microfibre towel
9. Used a slightly damp microfibre towel to wipe down all the interior plastics.
10. All glass inside and out polished with Autoglym Glass Polish
Below are a few 'after' pics. Forgot to take any 'befores', oops!
From the front:
From the rear:
Bonnet:
Close-up of bonnet (excuse the ugly mug! ):
Close-up of rear quarter by petrol cap:
Pretty impressed to be honest. Needs a proper detailing to remove swirls, scratches, and bird poop marks. Have booked it in with FinerDetails in a few weeks
Any comments welcome
