Hello everybody after a great deal of thought I have bought a Grey '04 Reg 265bhp Seat Leon Cupra R. I haven't got a collection date yet as I have to wait for my private plate to be transferred and the car to be serviced. Since March I have owned a Focus ST3 (which I loved to bits but bought as a speculative purchase given the long delays at the time). I sold the car at a decent profit and purchased a Black S2 Lotus Elise. However, my nan sadly passed away a few weeks back and the plan was to leave my car in her garage and commute to work in a cheap runaround. I live in an apartment with a designated parking space outside.

I didn't want to leave the Elise at the mercy of the elements through the winter and I didn't fancy driving it through the winter either given I do a fair few miles to work. I was mulling over the idea of either a civic type-r or a seat leon. Given I've already had a civic type-r in 2003 I thought I would try something different. I'm not sure who has tuned the car to 265bhp but will learn more when I collect it. The test drive sold the car to be honest. Aesthetically the car looked in great nick (apart from the few scuffs to the front wheel but the dealer is going to have those professionally touched up) but the test drive was unreal. I have been reading the posts on this site and they are making me wish collection day would arrive and have been a great source of information so thanks for all your help so far guys/girls.

It has full seat service history and the advert says stainless exhaust system and chipped/remapped to 265bhp with variable boost controller. The fun will be finding out what all the mods are...

It's a well looked after example looked really clean and didn't notice anything untoward on the test drive so appears to be a good purchase so far (fingers crossed).

welcome mate, iirc, the only people to do the boost controller are JABBA, so that may be who done the remap aswell.

Nice buy mate[B)] - only had mine 3 months, but, loving it to bits - the Focus ST does sound awesome though - thats the only thing I dont like about the LCR - lack of a decent engine note (IMO of course)

Yella? Everyone knows black is the best. Pain in the arse to keep clean but worth the effort :-D

i find black very easy to keep clean, simply follow my instructions and you can't go wrong, first wash with lambswool wash mitt, next dry with microfibre towel then wax, next simply wrap in cotton wool then place in heated garrage for the rest of it's natural, et voila one clean black car

As has been said sounds very much like it has had a JABBA map on there.

Nice looking motor fella. And yes BLACK is best, 'cos it is faster innit.
