I just sold my Platinum Grey Cupra R, Put it in Autotrader on a Friday, i had 3 calls over the weekend, then a guy rang me on a Tuesday, came and had a look and bought it on the Wednesday. I think it's all down to how you price it. I got what i was looking for anyhow, just depends and what you can afford to sell it for.

Hmm.. Does the car being ramapped make it less likely to sell? i understand selling a modded car is a dificult ground in the first place... but would a remap / chip really make it un-sellable?

Think its the colour ! you either love it or hate it but you never loose it in a car park and if ever anyone pulls out infront of you they carnt say they didnt see you !!
Just put it on pistonheads as advised by a member so if you want to have a peep please follow the link http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/105945.htm

I can see why people might be put off by a modded car but depends how far you go and personal taste i suppose.

Not un-sellable but it'd put off 75% of people who'd otherwise be interested in that car.

Having the same problem selling my ZR and it's doing my trumpet in, all I am getting is agencies offering me 6 guaranteed buyers, "all for a one-off payment of yada yada".

Thanks for the Pistonheads idea though, have just posted an ad.

Get a few cards in supermarkets, shops etc.

Have you tried Adtrader? It's free and you can do it all online.

Good luck with the sale, shall we have a race? Who sells first, lol.

Just dont mention its remapped, dont even turn it off if its revo, doubt many would notice tbh they would just think yeah its fast i will buy it, if it where me i would remove any mods that are obvious like induction kit etc though, and wouldnt mention the remap.

i've sold three cars through pistonheads - free and the people on there are looking for performance cars...yellow more likely to be attractive on that site than mr and mrs brown looking for their shopping car

I only advertised my MX5 on the website (think it was £15) - swerved getting it printed in the book, had loads of calls to, and ended up selling it for £1k more than I bought it for 12 months earlier (hehe).

Mate.. I had exactly the same issues..

There is this guy down south he's a private dealer and he is looking for LCR's all the time he loves them. It's worth giving him a call...

Name: Steve
Location: Littlehampton
Website: www.allvehicles.co.uk
Phone: 07795 560330

he bought my CTR took 3 days for deal from start to finish, called him described it, agreed price (on my description) drove down, got bankers draft & receipt, for the exact amount agreed, got train home.. thank you very much ££ in me account.. both happy parties..

He even offered to help me purchase my new car.. said he'd send me any info if I told him what I was looking for.. He was a very helpful guy

I have to say that the problem arises from the car (Leon) not being an 'obvious' choice for the majority.

I'm a little concerned about this problem myself with my current car.
