pm Wayne92SLC on here http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2657329

or buy the Help spark plug non foulers (which are cheaper, plus you get two!)... it took me 3 weeks to find a company in the US willing to send it over to the uk! [:@] and ironically the make of the non-foulers is "Help"!!!!

i managed to get mine from http://www.rockauto.com/

before you do anything make sure u read these two threads tho!... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1366095 and http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2657329

some ppl who have performance DPs and sports CATs will get a fault code of either cat below efficiency threshold or correction behind CAT; control limit reached.

half the time one of these codes will bring up the CEL too!

these 2 particular fault codes are nothing major to worry about as they are simply due to the performance exhaust flowing more air than the OE one (as they should do!)

now assuming your lambda probes are not nackered, to get around these codes with a performance DP/CAT you have 2 options...

1.) get a revo/apr stage 2 map (they basically ignore the rear lambda probe for flow rate)
2.) gap the rear probe so it sits further away from the centre of the pipe; thus less air flows past it tricking the probe into thinking the CAT is efficient!

I have a BF 100 CELL CAT. I had no codes on my standard map, but 2 weeks after my jabba remap i got the cat below efficiency code! gapping solved this issue for me!

hope this helps! :)

Friends LCR with APR Stage 2 still gets the fault code too, when we went to Awesome GTI for a rolling road day he had his Lambda space out. He never had the code with his standard map, or Revo map however got it with APR.

It's hit and miss, if I'm going to be fitting a Lambda i'll space it at the same time just for the fact I'm already working down there, and to get it out the way.

Cheers for your help James, those threads on VW Vortex were worth a read!

no problems m8!

im very surprised when you say your m8s LCR with STAGE 2 apr map still got the fault code!

i was told that revo/apr stage 2 ignored/adjusted the tolerance on the rear lambda sensor!

u sure he had stage 2 and not stage 1 apr map?!

also u say like me he never got the code with standard map and also with a revo map, but got it with the apr map... well i would ASSUME the apr map was running more boost and thus more fumes were goin out the exhaust and it just took it over the lambda tolerance?!?!

i dont know im only guessing!

either way like you say craig... you may aswell gap the rear lambda whilst your under the car! ;)

Well fitted the new rear sensor without a spacer for the time being and everything was all OK untill BAM...

16514 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: Malfunction in Circuit P0130 - 35-00 - -
Any idea's James? I believe you may have had this one before? Has the pre-CAT lambda took a beating too? Wondering if now because the second sensor is working right it's found faults with the first one!?!

Just sorted out a little high boost misfire too, knowing my luck the misfire beating I give it has shafted the pre-CAT sensor now.

yes i do think i have had this code and it was when my front lambda (bank 1) went... i got this done under warranty... if i was you craig i would clear the fault code with vag com and then fit the rear lambda probe spacer and see what happens!

is your car under warranty though?!

if so go to a stealer and you should get it done!

with regard to your pm... it took 3 days for my spark plug non-fouler to come from the US though i paid for the slowest shipping which was meant to take 2 weeks!!!! :)

hope this helps.

ps. did u text me craig?!

Well took the car out, re-aligned the throttle body, checked for fault codes and readyness. Still get the circuit malfuncion error, and also if you check the readyness of the system it shows the 02 sensor's as 'Failed or Incomplete' so I guess #1 sensor is goosed.

Wonder if its a case of both sensors failed, however it'll only show the rear one as faulty untill thats working again, then it shows the fronts as faulty?

My LC had the same 2 o2 sensor errors in your first post, the fault on mine was caused by the contacts on both pre and post cat sensors being corroded and had to be replaced, there was also a dodgy connection at the ECU end apparentyl. The car idles a lot better now and has lost the stutters in acceleration between 2k - 3.5k RPM. This is the second time I've had this type of error and had both sensors replaced or work done on them both times.
