And you could go to Forge and they could make one the same..
core size is very similar to the Cossy cores they use.

lots of choices.

The logs of the Forge FMIC on Ollys ibiza demonstrate its cooling abilities.

I've e-mailed Forge regarding a big turbo style intercooler as I'm up for having one done by them. The A&M one looks a really nice piece of kit, shame its not one you can just go out and buy.

However I always have and still do rate the quality of the Forge workmanship, and their customer service is fantastic too so would like to see if there interested in producing something to meet mine, and other people needs.

But saying that, I'd still like to see logs of the current Forge on AM04 and GT2X.

come on down and we will make you what ever you want to what ever spec and size you require .
Yeah but it will be a lot more expensive. I only want to know wot i'm best getting!!! Mite leave the bloody thing as it is!!!!!!! I'll be honest after talking to a few people i'll probably just get the forge one. I'm not as power hungry as some and if it will cope ihi i don't think i'll ever have better than that!!

The pro alloy (jabba ) intercooler was developed on my car and comes in 2 sizes.
Size 1 is for the retaining of aircon rad.
Size 2 which is mine requires aircon removal and foglights removal.

My car is IHI and testing on logs with vag-com the inlet temp never goes above 40 degrees (150mph @7800rpm)and that was with an outside temp of 22 degrees.

The Forge copes perfectly fine with a K03 and K03S, I know of two GT2X (280bhp+) cars also using the Forge but have yet to see intake temp logs to see how well there coping.

who's the second one i only know of 1, forget the name but it's a yellow one

i will second the comment about 280+ bhp on a fmic designed for the standard k03's, temps seem to rise a tad! nothing water injection wont solve though

when thinking about FMIC's remember to put just as much effort into the pipework as you do to core design,

We spent alot of money on our pipework and alot of designs and used 'Mandrel bends' (no more than 90degree) and minimiseds the number of joins (alot of people use cut/weld bends to save on cost) our system only has 5 joins from turbo-inlet and 4 are unavoidable as they are for the trubo, each side of fmic and inlet and we only have 5 welds in the whole of the pipework. and considering the amount of the pipwork, you will not find many others that compare!

Also consider pipework bore size, the stock system uses wierd shapes/sizes all differeing, so if you use a system that retains some of stock pipework u will retain these different bore sizes, ours was a consistent 2.5" from turbo-inlet which is one of the larger to get but not too large so that it has detromental affect.

But dont be fooled if making your own as quality costs £££ and if you were like us, chasing that extra bit of quality/performance costs £££££ and if you only make one there is a premium compared to batch buying

then dont forget end tank design, we changed ours 6 times till we got the mix right of space vs flow vs capacity vs dwell vs pressure loss vs cooling etc etc

plus........ our cores went on everything from 150bhp-400+bhp so if you plan on making your own and pushing your car forward, consider this also

Shock Xe, i personally know of myself and one other that would want one of your intercoolers. You should post up a group buy and see the interest you get. My mate CupraBaz told me to hold out till you's decided to make another batch.

Spoke to Elton @ Jabba today regarding the £810.00 intercooler and it's a Pro-Alloy one designed to keep the aircon and still provide enough cooling for IHI/GT2X/GT28/AM04, there is an option of an even larger one but I think these are £1k+.

Depending on the cost and timescale I'd be interested in an A&M FMIC.
