Various questions about my Cupra 180

I've been ghosting on this forum for a while and I've now decided to post my questions. (As I can't find the answers in other threads!)

I recently bought a Cupra 180 with around 3000 miles on the clock and I have the following questions:

1. Is it normal for the power steering motor/pump to cause the headlights to dim slightly as you turn the wheel. (When you're parking).
2. What is that bloody squeaking clunk from my back suspension as I go over speed bumps? (That I never had until my dealer tried to stop my other clunking!)
3. How do you find out how to remove the interior of the car without access to a Haynes manual? I'm going to need to run some cables.

Cheers,

James

Answers to best of my knowledge

1. Yes

2. Duno,

3. Pull! Depending what interior bits you mean tbh, door cards are covered in another thread, headlining etc is a pull job me thinks

Thanks. Any idea about lifting the carpet along the edge of the car so that you can run a power cable from the engine to the boot?

the plastic sill bits pull up and you can run power cables through there most things are just push fit clips so will pull off!

I had the squeeky clunk coming from the back on my FR was told on another thread it was the pin that the boot lock clips round is slightly too small i put some electrical tape round it and it seems to have solved it, it was very anoying.
other than that it's best to get someone not at the stealers to look at it, so you can go back to SEAT knowing whats wrong. I've had bad experiance with dealers not really knowing what the are doing and by the end of it all it's your fault for finding the problem:confused:

There is another one that can come from the rear too... if you grab the rear passenger side seat back you will see that it wobbles diagonally.

Again this is caused by a pin being too small for a latch.

Fold the seat down and ping off the clip that the seat back is hinged on. add some wadding to the hole and put the clip back on.

Or the lazy approach to this is fold the seat forward and ram a load of foam between the seat back and the wheel arch:)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

I've noticed that my squeaky clunk only happens when the road (and the car) is wet! So I'm guessing there's something in the rear suspension that makes a noise when wet. I shall stop worrying about that one.
