Well i got some off that same ebay seller and they fit perfect... about 15/20mm gap between end cap and edge of screen. Weird how some fit + some don't.

Seem to work fine. but the Valeo logo on the clip is upside down, so i'm hoping that doesn't mean they are LHD ones...

They are Valeo UM621- says Audi A3, Citroen C2/C3 Astra Megane + Golf on the pack.
that what it says on mine but they dont fit

Got mine this morning via the link at the top of this thread..

Fit absolutley perfectly no probs at all. Seem to work very well with just the washer fluid, no smearing at all and silent as. No rain as yet though so we'll see!!!

My valeo logos are upside down as well. The wipers be the right way round though (i.e not LHD ones) as the wear indicators are facing into the cabin.

Here's a pic of mine.

I noticed that on the pack it says 18" / 450mm +or- 5mm.

Maybe it's just the luck of whether you get one on the short (445mm) or long (455mm) side of the tolerance that makes the difference whether they fit or not.

Also noticed mine park a bit high compared to some - that's just how they are but they still don't catch even if i push them down. Just need it to rain now!

There's some small print on the other side of the card - running up by where the pictures of how you put them on are.

I think the reason some don't fit is because on those cars, the passenger wiper 'parks' lower down the screen. On mine and others, that arm is a spline further round on the spindle, so the blade sits an inch or so higher...........

Here's mine when I first fitted the Bosch floppies.....

I have old fashioned Valeos and the wear indicators face into the cabin, presumably so you can see them easily. Well tempted by these as they do look trick.

I'm impressed.

Ordered the new blades at 1pm on Friday - Saturday morning there's a knock at the door.

I fitted them in about 10 seconds flat. It took longer to get the old ones off than it did to fit the new ones.

No problems with fit either. They seem to be just the right length.

They work like a dream too!

Hey Panholio - I got my Rain-ex from Halfords, but had to search. I asked one of the staff if they had any. He gave me a blank look and said "No". I turned the corner and there it was!

After using the Valeo ones for a few days I'm impressed. I do think they are better than the Bosch ones I had on before. It's a year since the Bosch aeros were new so I can't really give a subjective comparison. The Valeo wipers look slightly lighter in section than the Bosch and seem quieter. I'm glad to lose the 'Jeremy Beadle' large/small look.

The driver's side Bosch was appalling after 12 months and didn't clear the water that the passenger wiper left directly in the driver's eyeline.

The new Valeos only start to miss a little water at 120+

Fitted my Valeo ones today, sods law the passenger one on mine is touching the side just like BEOWULF's pic. So gonna have to adjust the wiper arm on the spindle.
Must depend on what position the arm is set at, maybee those of you for who it fits fine have had a windscreen at some point and they have put the arm back on a notch higher?????

As for how they work, both wipers did not run smooth until I squirted my washer jets, even then the passenger wiper dragged along the screen :(
I am hoping the passenger wiper did this because it is not starting flush against the screen due to the overhang?

so will have to see how they go....

If they're anything like the genuine Aero blades then your wiper set up should be like the one below (unless you cut the passenger blade down an inch and then cut some grooves in to reconnect the end cap)

Page 2 of this thread

On all aero blades when fitted to the Leon. The arm on the passenger side has to be moved up by 1/2 or 1 inch so that its not fouling the windscreen seal.

Vagparts are currently getting a set ready (Just blades and also new arms and blades) for an exact fit to the Leon.
Rough price of £60 for arms and blades.

Yeah I know ;)

Hence why I said I am gonna adjust the arm.

I just thought that some people who had fitted these with no issues had not adjusted the arm themselves, so eaqualy as stupid I spose

To clarify, my Valeo retro fit blades do not foul the edge of the screen and my wiper arms have never been off the car.

I guess that the parked position of the arms varies slightly out of the factory and/or the length of the 18" valeo blade may vary slightly.

I think it's possibly misleading to say that all aero blades require the arm to be adjusted. This just seems to be the case if fitting the MKIV golf arms and blades.

My passenger side arm is nowhere near as high up when in the parked position as the one in the pic above (Platinum Leon) and mine fit perfectly.

I think you hit the nail on the head - I've never touched my wiper arms and they park in between the chassis number and the start of the clear part of the screen.

The valeos fit great and are infinitely better than standard on mine.

You can see on the photos of Beowulf's that his park slightly below the chassis number and hit the trim in the corner.

So I reckon that if you look at how high yours park with the standard blades on you should be able to predict whether the Valeos will catch or not.

Ah well must be "as they come" from the factory, just my luck that mine sit too low!

Gonna adjust mine anyway, otherwsie I have wasted £25 :)
