Hello people, i notice the other day that my front cup holder in my Ibiza FR has broken (part of it) the spring loaded section that flips to hold the cup or whatever you put in the holder has broken and fallen off, absolutely no idea how it happened though.

So basically.... where can i get a replacement part from or where can i get the cupholder from?

Thanks guys

Ok, this is very spooky, as last month mine almost did the same, the spring as come out of position, but nothing has snapped... weird!?

My piece of plastic fell also, the dealer wouldn't change it under warranty, still haven't found much use for the cupholder though since it's too small for basically any cup, BTW it didn't really hold red bull cans well even before the little plastic thing broke, noticed it says in the manual to use the cupholder only when the car is stationary so it's useless then, lol

Really? Not read that. Thats a bit daft, its a car not a pick-nick table. Thats annoying, dont like having anything not 100% in the car.

Mine has been fine so far – touch wood – but I never use it.:D

I bet I'm not the only one whose rear cupholder keeps popping out though, especially when I fold the rear seats!

I keep meaning to glue mine in with a blob of silicone sealer on each of the clips. That should hold it in place but still allow it to be removed if necessary to get to the screw underneath. One day ... :)

The spring flap on my cup holder went a while ago now and my local dealership replaced it without raising any questions really.

Only problem I had was Seat UK sent the european version of the cupholder three times which didn't match the shape of the console. In the end they took one off the showroom cars to get me sorted

how's the european version different? I am in Mexico and as I see it it must be a european cupholder since only the kids drinks from any fast food place fit (confirming stereotypes I know)

have you not tried your local breakers?
mine broke so i went to the breakers and 1 seemed to just fall in my pocket? (strange that)

just been back for some more things too!

polo aero rear wiper £5
interior light with map lights £5
low tone horn off polo gti (so now am not  to press it) £5
biggest rip £15 for light and connectors for glovebox light from the stealers!

just trying to put car to spec which i thought should've been already?
