Urgent Help Needed

HI ALL:
need help please.
went to my car in the garage this morning, pressed the key to unlock the car, got in, waited for all the lights to go out on the dash on my CUPRA TDI 150 04 REG, & then to all my amazement the car was dead, ( not turning over ) & then the bloody alarm started to go off.

had the same trouble at the beginning of the year & the RAC man said it was the battery, so i went & bought a new one from seat dealers.

has anybody had this problem or can anybody enlightern me with the issue i am having.

have just phoned seat assitance & it will be an 1HR before they can get to me as they are very busy.

so you have fitted the battery and it hasnt changed a thing?

could be an immobiliser problem

the seat assitance guy came out too me about 11am & he said that it could be the alarm or immobiliser, drainning the battery as i have not used the car for over a week.

went to seat @ acocks green & they can't do nothing until the 30th OCT, because i need a replacement car.
i could off left the car with them, but i had no way of getting to work etc:

they are a waste of space these seat delers.

so in the end i have been out & bought a big booster kit. ( just in case. )

will have to wait now until end of the mth to see what the problem is.

was it OK until you turned the key, if so it may well be the battery connections, had this with a Terrano and even popping the bonnet brought it back to life, I didn't believe it either but took a long time to get to the bottom of.

I had a similar problem. Car failed to start twice, Seat said check battery etc..but common sense told me that would be unusual on a newish car. I checked the boot light was going off ok, then I checked the glovebox light, and it wasnt going off when the glovebox was closed and was slowly draining the battery, very obvious in the dark as it was shining around the lid. Removed the bulb and problem solved.
Always check the obvious before a Seat dealer has your car all day, rips it to bits and replaces everything under the sun just to get dosh, when it was something simple all along.

have checked the boot lid light & thats ok.
while i was in the boot, i got the wife to arm & disarm the alarm etc:

got to laugh at this aswell, while i was in the boot with the alarm on checking the boot light, i shouted too the wife its ok! herd nothing, shouted again, & she had pissed off into the kicthern to check on her meat. when i shouted again she was there, had vision of me beeing locked in my boot.

will go & check my glovebox, when it gets a bit more darker.
