Nah but the guy said he wasn't to sure on the exact spec but it is definately the nutz???? I know any tuner will say that but i trust jabba for some reason!!!! Oh fitting is another £100!!!!! But atleast i could go there, leave it, and pick it up with it all done. i was hoping to get it to stage 2 whilst there so they can map it!!!

They're bound to say that. Like saying Nike is better than Adidas. Though think its best to wait and see the spec on this one to compare. It certainly "looks" the same as a Forge, but is a more expensive. (....waits for someone to mention Laguna  )

Thats what i thought.

I asked the bloke if it was the forge one!!!!!!! Looks very similar.

i think he said the core was bigger and there is a bigger surface area.

I'll be honest i have gone off the laguna as i don't want to be letting any1 any where near my car with an angle grinder!!!!!

So i thought lets save for the forge. then i saw this and found out about an AM one.

I don't want to start another forge vs laguna or anything like that cos that is starting to get boring!!!!! (every search result for fmic has summit to do with forge vs laguna!!!)

Is it just personal preference / purse strings when it comes to getting FMIC????

I heard this FMIC was developed for BT. Not for usual ko3x turbos.

Be nice to see some logs and figures from it tho.
Well it can't do any harm. Hope fully i'll be running st 2 soon so will need a FMIC and i'm not sure whether i'll go KO3s or KO4 023 or maybe summit else.

I'd prefer to get a FMIC thats designed for 300 bhp as one day i'd hope to have that and don't want to pay £700 for forge or cut half my front end off then have to upgrade it!!!!

i'd like to find out more about this also. i've had a forge and my mate had an am one and my plans are going to be bt but i felt (and i'm not slagging off) that the forge one had small piping and in my opinion tight angles. I am led to beleive also that the am motorsport boys are no longer making intercoolers or selling turbos so this would be another option for me. I may even get forge or allard to make one to my specifion but (again not slaging off, if it works for you go for it.) i dont want to cut the car to fit something intended for another

if it was designed for a BT and you use it with a ko3 turbo then it could mean lots of turbo lag

still a hell of a price for a fmic

well this is one reason. i didn't mention it as i thought it would cause an argument!!!!! the am one has different piping and looks a lot better and so does this one i believe. am i rite in saying the forge one uses std #IC pipes??

I know Forge are looking at a BT FMIC kit soon, so it might be worth waiting to see what they do or even speakin to them.
