Camshaft Positioning Sensor

anyone know where this is?
anyone had any problems with it?


the reason i am bringing this up is because my engine management light is on. i've checked it out using VAG-COM and the code is telling me its the 'Camshaft Positioning Sensor'. i've taken it to the dealers to get the sensor, but they keep giving me the wrong one! then they said, 'there's no such part!'

someone help?

thanks dude. do i have to replace the sensor, or just make sure its connected? it came up shortly after i had the cambelt done. my local REVO dealer won't 'do' my car until the prob is fixed!

Sounds like they have re-connected it properly mate. Have a look and push the connection and try vagcom again. Whos doing your Revo?

i think i read in the leon section a few people have had this on LCRs after they have given them a thrashing --just a thought

these humans ( LCR bunch) have had this fault code appear via on board diagnostics after they have given theyre LCRs a brisk drive , probably B roads , no cops and lots of sweeping corners to test theyre agile chasis


could be worth further probing investigation
