what aerial?

My standard aerial is a bit tatty, have many of you changed your aerials? been looking on ebay, thinking of getting a bee sting aerial or some kind, or what have you people got/recommend? Car is arctic grey. John

i tried to change my areal, it unscrewed, and that was it, got to a point where it wouldnt unscrew anymore , just spinning and it wouldnt budge, how on earth do you finish off taking it off??? ---------- SORRY TO HIJACK -------------

bought mine from some fella over on ukmkivs...theres some on ebay S2000/Civic ariels
or you can pop into your local honda parts dept
prices vary i paid about 15quid along time ago, can get em cheap now
some need a slight modification though to fit smooth

its basically just a short stubby thing. reminds me of an RC car look sometimes? dunno why

yeh thats what i thought had one on my first car, now on my fourth car. Found the aerials on ebay. The aerial really suits your car, so should suit mine the same. Will order one now.

EDIT - just yanked it off after unscrewing as much as it can.

ebay = civic aerial, about £6.00 inc p+p.

Used a claw hammer to ease my old aerial out! Was v.careful and used a towel to cover roof just incase i slipped. lol

instead of starting a new thread - just a quick question on ariels - where abouts on the car are they earthed? as i got a error message on vagcom saying a poor earthing which makes sence about why i get shitty reception -

thats the civic the s2000 has a ridge round it, about one inch from the threaded area.

mine is an s2000 part, the modification was taking a blade to the edge by the thread and chopping a few mm off, it didnt screw in without this

as for the link to my gallery...works fine for me where it says beezer in my sig

i bought mine from some fella off UKMKIVS cos it was a while ago, but his were from a honda dealership and were abit overpriced, for £6.50 id try one of those u posted, not much to lose and if it dont fit u can prob cut it to make it fit, which i had to do anyway so worth a pop
