My millteck exhaust vibrates of the heatshields below the car, it appears not to be a good fit does anyone else with this exhaust have this problem?

you will probably find that its the heatsheild only that is vibrating not the exhaust hitting it seems to happen alot i have a milltek catback and i have never had a problem with mine and its been on my car nearly 2 years and sounds better than ever

I had lots of problems with my Miltek exhaust so i had the centre box removed completely, so now i have a straight through pipe to the back box and had the rear box remounted...

More noise, more pops and zero knocks means more smiles :D

Mines is a cat back system i think the problem lies where it goes over the back axel. Also I think it could have a crack. A lad with the same exhaust on his cupra that I know had this happen to him and he got it welded up.

mine knocks all the time, not a milltek, but i have a 3" blueflame DP and that is a very very tight fit below the bulkhead! backbox bangs on the petrol tank heatshield, not willing to remove this obviously :)

i have a blueflame 3" d/p and cat. joined on to a milteck cat back system and had the same problems with it hitting the fuel tank.

Took mine to my local powerflow dealer and they cut about 1 1/2" out of it just at the start of the cat back system and now it fits a hell of a lot better

Should do this will have no effect on emissions is just a silencer, the Miltek sport cat should take care of the emission end of it.

If anything it will be the stage 2 Revo that effects the emissions but i will get my mate the MOT tester ;) to turn the remap off when it is MOT time, actually now i think about it, i will get him to try it with the map on and off to see if it makes much difference..
