The good old pedal box!!!

Thought my pedal box was on the way out the other night, it went before and the garge welded it up when they noticed it cracked while doing my clutch cable.

Been hearing a noise from the pedal everytime I changed gear the past couple of days so after work yesterday thought I might as well order a new one before it goes. On my way home after odrering in about 10mins after ordering that is..... went to change gear and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor, looked and seen a piece on the floor and by the clutch cable another piece moving back and fore

Picked up my new one today, does anyone recommend welding it up a bit more to make it stonger and where to? as I know the pedal box is common to go.

i added an extra gusset piece to it when i repaired mine

easy design and certainly a cure for it as it spreads the strain and supports it properly

PS- send me your old one i may use it as a stock modded one for anyone else that has the trouble

Mine cracked, but not in the same place as Daz's

I have seen an extra bit welded onto the end next to the hole and then bolted through the bulkhead with a thin poly bush inbeween, looked very solid indeed.

I had same problem, got it welded up but was then told it could be down to the clutch its self, i replaced the clutch and have never had a problem again.

Mine's cracked on the same place as flapper's. Have it done before I have it fitted now, and Flapper let you know when it's off and send me your address and I get it off to you.

all im gonna do is gusset and repair it as a back up for when someone else wants one they can exchange it for theirs and be back on the road

only takes me 5 mins to do

in fact i would strengthen the new one if i was you

Yea I'm having it strengthen, my mate took it to work today to do it for me. Cars going in on wednesday so if i'm lucky have it back that night, had enough of driving the SJ around now lol.

When the cars done, i'll let you know then I get it off to u.
