I'm about to replace the rear pads on my LCR (45k) for what I believe to be the first time.

I'm umming and arghing about changing the discs also. There is a small lip on them but not a huge one.

Just wondering what sort of life others on here have had out of the rear discs on their Rs?

Changed my rear pads at 50k miles and TBH there was some 'meat' on the pads still......disks were fine.

I did think at one point I has a cracked disk but they were water marks

Yeah - I didn't think the rear discs were ready yet. Did you do the rear pads yourself?

The front discs need doing now though i think - what did you get out of yours?

I've just discovered looking through some reciepts I got with the car that the pads on the front are £30 europart jobbies!! :-o

£30 for both discs?

Which pads did you go for?

£30 for both discs? I paid £200 for both front discs.....? Getting confused, have change nothing on the back but front pads have been done twice and discs changed once.

Went for the Ferrodo 2500's as got brake fade on the standards...

Yep similar to what I recall

This question was asked before and there seems to be quite a variance on life span, guess it depends how you drive

Front Pad life on an LCR was anything from 7-14,000 miles
Front Disk Life 25-40,000 miles approx
Rear Pads up to 50,000 miles

That is what I am working on at the moment....

Driving it sensibly most of the time but do have fun on some private roads/circuits.... ;)

My pads last about 15000 on the front not had anything done to the back yet.
Discs are the expensive bit and I found 40000 is enough... just enough time to get it all done including Cam belt at the 80000 great! lol
