I have noticed in the last week or so that when i put my foot down on my clutch, it makes a one 'Click' sound! It does it when coming off the clutch but is quieter than when going on it

I have done a searchy and confirmed the two things i thought this would probably be! Pedal Box or Clutch Pedal about to go but i wanted to find out if there was anything else it could be and ways i can check it

I had a new Clutch Pedal fitted about this time last year and it had a double weld done on it to make it more hard wearing! I also cant say it feels any different than normal

The local garage has a quick look and said they could see anything but am i right in saying you need to check behind the Steering Column to check the Pedal Box?

Thank you

Could be the clutch switch. Just ordered one from SEAT in Gatwick for £7.51 + VAT.

You said the garage checked it & they couldnt find anything?

Does it still drive the same? What about trouble changing in to gear?

i would say it would be the weld on the peddle starting to die

have a look at it and see what condition it is in, you will be ableto tell if its about to go or not by the stress on the welds

If you do a searchy you may find it! ;)

Please keep this on topic, its important!
SORRY!!!!!

I have no idea!!! It's the switch above the brake light switch in the pedal box. My EPC light come on. Which is probably a bit of a give away!!!!!

Oh dear, this is not good news at all! The clutch pedal cost me £176 to do last time and the Pedal Box went on my first Cupra and that was done under Warranty but would have cost IIRC about £500

I dont know what to do now! What if i cant see anything?

by the way :eek:ff topic: what the hell does iirc mean??

back on topic now :)

if you cant see or feel anything on the pedal, then its not that, not too sure about the pedal box as iv never had one go, but £500 seems a bit expensive
