Water round the doors....

Noticed this happening for a while now as its been very wet recently.

When ever i open the front drivers or passenger door i tend to get a little fall of water thats been held by the door sill.

Also noticed a little bit of water in the rear passenger side footwell?? not sure where this is coming from.

anyone any advice?

Common problem on the Leon, a search pulled up pages of threads about it

Generally pollen filter or door seals. If your car is within warranty the dealer sometimes fixes it

Thanks for the info steve, ive looked at the threads with the guide in but not get water in the front footwell just the rear passenger side.

Looks like the water is being held by the front doors, between the two seals but will test it this week.

I had that problem.

You need new to clean the rubber door seals first, if no joy you need new ones!

That's what I thought but it turns out it was leaking on the front bulkhead and running down into the rear footwell. So check the doorseals but don't think it is a specific door problem as that it where the water is near...

after changing my front speakers my front door suddnely started to get tons of water in the door threshold.

Took the door apart. Retightened the bolts holding the silver metal sheet to the door anad then sealed its edge with sealent. resealed the speaker housings and finally the two holes at thebottom of the door car where the screws hold the door card. Loads of silicone and a clear up of the water channels should do it
