I have excessive pollution light- after scan we found code 17704 which is the coolant temp sensor or thermostat. I changed the thermostat last summer so gotta be the temp sensor, right?

I changed the thermostat last summer. 15months ago. The light came last week. I have reset it twice and it returns.

Pretty sure its the temp sensor...

Gonna change that tomorrow.

-open reservoir
-clamp hose

-change fast fast
-normalize

I had the exact same cod come up a few months ago.
Bought a Temp Sensor off ebay (one of the green ones as there was a problem with the originals) cost me £17 posted.
SEAT wanted a lot more if I can remember.

I picked up an OEM green one today. What do you mean there's a problem with the OEM ones?

Just waited till the morning to do mine, opened the coolant bottle, removed the clip then the sender and replace.
No clamping hoses, no rushing just did it )
