hello folks,

been a member on here for a while now, however today i bought my first seat car (pic's at bottom of post).............i am now the proud owner of a 2006 seat leon Fr tdi,

i sold my beloved turbo civic type r yesterday evening and bought my seat this morning,

I've always been into my honda's, i have x3 ep3 civic type r's now..........x1 n/a build..........x1 jackson racing supercharged build..............then finally a turbo'd one

with a audi a3 2.0 tdi (pd140) and a mk4 astra gsi turbo (running 305/360 ftlb's) in between

totally standard for now but that will soon change!

(AIR CON CLIMATE CONTROL, 17" ALLOYS, SPORTS SEATS, 170 BHP TURBO DIESEL, 6 SPEED GEARBOX, ELEC.WINDOWS, ELEC.ADJUST/HEATED MIRRORS, ABS, ESP, REMOTE LOCKING, REAR PRIVACY GLASS, FRONT FOGLIGHTS, CRUISE CONTROL, POWER STEERING, TRIP COMPUTER, ELEC FOLDING MIRRORS....etc etc)

very clean/tidy well looked after car..........just how i like them!

dont plan on doing much to it as its my family wagon,

what i will do though is- dpf removal along with a remap (will see about 205 and 320 ftlb's once done)

lowering springs

spray alloys gloss black.............or change for some black team dynamic pro race 1.2's

spray chrome front grill gloss black and wing mirrors..................thats pretty much it,

i managed 49 mpg coming back from birmingham in it this morning,


lovely car to drive........... i bought it due to the missus being pregnant with twins i decided i needed something more sensible.............what better to go for than a Fr tdi,

plenty quick enough for a diesel with lots of potential!

i'll always have a soft spot for ep3's.........there ok in n/a form but once charged or turbo'd there something else,

the main reason i sold the civic was because it was my missus is pregnant, its a bit hardcore for a pregnant woman to be going in,

ive always liked the Fr tdi leons so it was a no brainer really for my next car

well after owning the leon fr tdi for just over 2wk's im quite pleased with it all in all,

ive had a few issues with it already but nothing i haven't been able to solve myself

ive had the dpf light come on last week but a good motorway run in 4th gear at 4,000 rpm's for a few miles soon cleared,

also ive had a boost issue where the car would stutter/hesitate on boost....... i tried the £2 EGR gasket from dave @ sere motors which didn't cure it,

I took the boost pressure regulator off of the car and gave it a good clean........as well as cleaning the air flow meter......new airbox filter & diesel filter and now its all good,

car pulls from low down now with no sputtering/hesitating at all........ (anyone with this issue who's already tried the £2 gasket....my advice either clean or replace the boost pressure regulator to see if it helps)

Since getting the car ive also sprayed the wheels gloss black as well as the wing mirror covers..........looks lots better now.

next things on my list shortly-

eibach sportline springs and DPF removal/stage 2 mapping to go with it,

i live literally 5 min's from JBS.................and im only 25 mins from S H A R K peformance

who would you guys use for dpf removal and mapping??

a few more pics of my new diesel tractor folks

since buying it i've done the following-

sprayed the wheels gloss black
sprayed the wing mirror covers gloss black
sprayed the front grill gloss black (was gay chrome before which looked gash)
airbox filter.........diesel filter........oil & oil filter change.......Egr gasket to cure the pd170 stutter
removed leon badge from rear

this morning i gave the car a wash followed by a claying and waxing session,

things to do shortly- milltek Dpf delete down pipe along with a stage 2 remap........should see about 220 bhp and 340 ftlb's

some 18" seat leon fr wheels and some eibach pro springs is a possibilty also as it rides a bit high as standard!

to be fair for a diesel its pretty nippy as it is............once its re-mapped it should be suprisingly quick :wink:

averaging about 43 ish mpg which aint to bad...............ive had as high as 54 and as low as 38

S H A R K is where ill be going..............put it this way you started off with a jbs map and now your running a S H A R K map (ive read your build threads).........no brainer which is the best lol

mack63- to be honest mate when i 1st bought the car and they was the standard silver colour i thought they looked $hite....................since spraying them gloss black they look lots better,

I'll still probably end up with the 18's you can get..........thanks anyways mate

looks nice and tidy mate did you paint the wheels yourself? done a great job with them! are they proper gloss black or a satin black. they dont look matt, but not gloss either haha somewhere in between

I sprayed the wheels myself mate and the colour was gloss black

To be honest they looked good to say I'd done them in the shed..... However after a couple of months they were ready to be done again.

I sold this car last year and had a mk4 gsi with VXR lump and stage 2 K04 hybrid, mapped by RS Tuning etc.

I now have another mk2 FR Tdi in red

@ dodsy- the cars sat on eibach sportlines, to be fair it's given my Leon a nice drop.
