Hi All,
This thread is a repayment to help others with this issue. When I scanned the car this is the error it found:
16795 P0411 Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected.
After some searching on here I found a couple of threads, mainly THIS one, and so I wanted to pass on how I fixed this. I found it easier to remove the MAF connector, remove the air intake from the airbox, and remove the coolant connector for access.
Firstly, from the thread above I knew where to look:
^^ Borrowed from other thread.
Subsequently I found this (pictures were taken by dropping phone into the engine bay, in effect the windscreen is BEHIND the camera).
So now I knew the problem, how to fix?
I had some 3mm ID hosing left over from the N249 bypass, so firstly I pulled off the old bit of pipe and replaced, securing with a cable tie.
The other end of the original hose runs to a 'T' piece, under the main pipe on the engine bay, its a bit fiddly as its one of those stupid clips. Careful here as the 'T' piece may be brittle.
I then ran my 3mm hosing to the T piece, cut to length and attached it.
Below is a pic of the old hose, or part of it.
While I was here, I decided to replace the SHORT length of hose too, as it didn't look in a good way. This hose comes of the vertical connection of the T (as oppose tot he horizontal connection we just placed our new 3mm hose to).
This was the state of the 'short' hose:
You can see in the centre of this picture (just above the heat protection) where the new 'short' black hosing fits.
Hope this helps someone...
Mike
