I saw this on another forum and thought it would be a good one to put up on here.

Just post up mods which are decent and cheap, for those of us feeling the squeeze (£).

Rules are as follows: Please post the price (must be sub £100), a short description, a picture (if available) and a part number/place to get it from

If we can keep it a simple and informative thread, maybe it'll become sticky - so let's spread the knowledge peeps.

I will start with the Polo rear aero wiper (£14, part numbers 6Q6 955 425A(Blade), 6Q6 955 707C(Arm), 6Q6 955 435B)

Audi TT FWD short shifter. Shortens shift but about 20% (£22, 8N0 711 051)

Smooth air box and larger CAI with cotton panel filter total cost £50ish just be patient as it takes ages!!! sorry aint got any pics or part numbers.

N249 bypass.

Pretty much free if you re-use the hoses, if you buy new hoses around 8 quid.

15mm Hubcentric Rear Spacers

~£90 delivred from Badger 5. One of the best sub 100 quid mods there is IMO.

Anti buzz t-fitting for boost gauge pocket change stops it rattling/buzzing i also found it smoothed the needle out n stoped it flickering

Yes the short shift can be used with the B+M, but ive never tested it!!!

I';m using the TT shifter with a B+M short shifter and its awesome. Super short shifts now.

B+M ebay copy and TT shifter is a quality mod.

Is the TT shifter litteraly a straight replacment for the existing one? As i interested i doing this mod. Or do you require a few other bits to complete the job?

do i presume the TT short shifter shortens travel forwards/backwards and the B&M sideways?

other mods:
led side lights. cheap as chips and depending on which ones you use they can add that zenon effect.

if you do a good job on ebay you can do an angel eye conversion for less then £100.

if you have angel eyes, change the angel eye bulbs for bright leds.

and not forgetting upgrading the DV.

I've read on other posts that the part number mentioned above for the TT short shifter no longer exists and has been superseded is this true? Also is it the ball joint type needed for the Mk3 ibiza?

ive got an evo shield gasket which was about £50 but dont know the part number sorry

Yeah the part number is now 8N0 711 046. Its not the ball joint type, but comes with a new bowden cable catch (to replace the ball type catch).

Still as easy to fit.
