Your opinions please!! Luna Grey Paint

Hi all!
This is my first post. I have had my FR TFSI in Luna Grey for just over a week and I love it. On the rear near side door I have a little raised pin ***** in the paint as if something landed on it when it was being sprayed.

My dad works in the bodyshop for vauxhall and he told me to leave it alone and not to bother with it.

Seat have said they would do it under warranty no problem. My dad rekons that they will rub it down with fine grit wet and dry paper and then polish it back with a polishing mop. If this was all that needed to be done id have it done, but my dad said if they break through the laquer then the whole door would need to be re painted edge to edge. It is a little anoying but it is really small.

Do you think i should just leave it well alone?

My car is in Luna Grey. The bodywork is fine apart from that little pimple, but the left corner of my bumper in certain lights is a little patchy almost cloudy. Vauxhall have terrible problems with silver paint and I think its just the colour.

Thanks Guys

Paul:confused:

I said this twice today...Welcome to the family.

Hmm hard one really. I mean I am sure you trust your dad professional experience so I'd just leave it mate. Cars will never stay perfect unless you spend amazing amounts of time maintaining them. Enjoy the car and forget about it :)

Hi Paul

Personally I would leave it alone, I have the same thing on the roof of my Lluvia Blue TFSI Sport: you're the only one that will notice it because you're the one that cleans the car!

I had slight blemish when I picked my 05 plate up. Was tempted to mention it to dealler but in end chose not to. had mine for almost 2 years, no bother with it. You dont know its there unless your looking for it,,..
Saying that I would atleast mention it to them. If it goes pear shaped at a later date and you dont mention it, their come back would be "you should have told us at the time":-(

hi mate, i have a simular issue with my n/s/f door.

again it will be done under warranty, but to do it right the door will have to be resprayed, and also then the rear door and front wing to blend it.

i left mine alone and should it become an issue then i'd get it done, but you really dont want half a car painting 1 week on.

If its really bothering you mate fix it...otherwise best thing you can do is forget about it and enjoy the car.
