I’m going for a test drive on Saturday 18th January 2025 so wondered if anyone knows any history about the car and what I need to lookout for and check? It’s a 2.0l tdi 150 FR Sports Wagon with 134000 miles.

Check its had a cam belt + aux belt.
Beyond regular servicing my 184tdi at a similar mileage has had:
rear dampers
front dampers + top mounts
front wishbones + drop links
front wheel bearings
discs and pads
heater matrix (check it blows hot air across all vents)
AC re-gas (check it blows cold air across all vents)
dog bone mount bush (engine lower torque reaction arm bush)
Uses about 0.12 liters of oil per 1000 miles - which is 1/4 of the maximum allowance - (seems fairly common)
Also i'm using a little coolant - so I suspect EGR cooler or Front mounted water/air heat exchanger.

If you like the car otherwise, you might be able to use the windscreen damage and brake disc wear as a bargaining chip?

And rear shocks!

Thanks for the replies, I test drove the car and then walked away as it was clear that the car wasn’t looked after and the sales guy would say anything just to get a sale. The car had a spongy clutch, notchy gearbox, the heating didn’t work, rust patches and the plastic screen on the instrument binnacle was smashed. I went to another garage afterwards and test drove another Seat Leon ST FR tdi 150 with 152,000 miles but was newer and what a difference it was, it drove really well, had a tidy interior and body work and a full service history with receipts and the salesman was very helpful so I paid a deposit for it. The only things that I could find wrong with the car was the wing mirrors don’t fold, passenger vanity light didn’t work and the rear speakers don’t work (there wasn’t a fader setting in the sound menu so maybe software related?) They are giving the car a service and new MOT test this week and will have a look at those things I mentioned before I pick up the car 1st February.
