Does anyone know if the XL has different carpet mats to the normal Altea? I've had a quick look in the car and cannot see the round attachment type things that the original Altea mats clip onto.

I got a set of mats when I collected my XL.
The SEAT part number on the invoice was S5P1061525AA041. I was told that they were the same as the standard XL, but you are right in that there are no fitting holes in the car. They are much cheaper on Ebay, I paid £42.50 for mine ! but I was unsure of compatibility for the XL.

Altea carpet mats will fit in an Altea XL the part number is 5P1061525AA041. The mat set should come with the screws in it to fit them
Dealer couldn't be bothered to screw the posts in for the mats to clip onto. when I first collected my normal length Altea, they had to fix the passenger seatlbelt anyway so I got them to screw them in then.
Basically the clip-post thingy don't come with the car, they come with the mats and screw into the floor
