Would a 1.4 tsi fail mot with decat?

Tempted to have something done to my exhaust on my MK2 FR. After louder sound and more performance. Would the car still pass MOT if it had a straight pipe? Never done anything to my car exhaust before so not clued up. Cheers

With a decat i would expect it to be a fail drastically on emissions. You could possibly try a sports cat?

I put a dummy box on mine, it slides over the piping and its welded in position to the pipe,

a decat pipe is around the £150 mark isnt it? i think with an additional 50 or so you may be able to have a sport cat put on....

If the car originally had one fitted and you remove it, technically it's an MOT failure.
