Wishbones...

Am i right in thinking that wishbones are just bits of metal, with no bits that can come loose/break?

Im just thinking my dealer is trying to pull a fast one saying one of the wishbones is "loose" and the whole wishbone needs replacing

the wishbone has press fitted rubber bushes that do wear (and quicker than you'd expect)

it's easier (on labour time) to replace a wishbone with prepressed bushes than replace the bushes in the existing wishbone.

quick answer - buy cupra wishbones with the bushes pre fitted, a BIG spanner and 6 sided socket set & change them yourself in an hour.
