wiring problems

Hey I'm currently adding a new cd headunit under my steering column. This is my first attempt at auto work and I'm a little unclear on some of the wiring colour codes, can someone clarify on the power and audio sockets connected to the back of the original HU, what each of the wires relates to? I've tested for the the power lines both switched and permanent but thats all. Can't find a haynes manual for the model of Ibiza and no-one I know has founds wiring diagrams.

youll have 2 bunchs one power and the other speaker, the speakers will be two of every colour so 2 purple 2 red etc but one will be a mix and one plain so one red and one red black this is so that you can wire the speakers up as positive and negative etc

usually red power and yellow maybe switch live black the earth

yeah I have those. One brown connector for the speaker lines and one black one for the power. Some of my wires are 2-tone though. One at least is a power line as it tests at 12v. I have to split the power lines into two sets so i can run the heater controls and the new headunit. I don't fancy hooking up my extension cable and I've got the wiring wrong!!! lol.

no brown isnt for speakers nor is black there power, speakers are the pairs of cables
