Hi Guys,

I want to wire in some footwell lights to the Leon on the weekend. I did this on the Ibiza and they got good reviews by those that saw them as they are subtle, and match the red lighting perfectly.

On the Ibiza I wired into behind the headlight switch, so the dash "wheel" would also control the brightness of them.

I am hoping I can do similar on the LEON? Hopefully some of the LCR/LC guys have wired there boost gauges in in a similar way?

Just after a bit of info on what wires to feed from...

Thanks,

Mike

No I wired them into the dimmer switch, so they run off the dash lights, IE whenever the keys are in the ignition and the dash lights are on, they are.

The LED strips are from my local 'The Motorists Centre' but are actually a Prisym part. Around £9 for the two. I have the part number at home.

Will try to get some decent vid tonight,

MIke

Get some decent wire strippers, or at least be good with a stanley knife.... I DID NOT disconnect ANY wires to the switch. All I did was release the connector from the rear of the switch and feed off the required wires (strip the sheath back, connector LED wiring, and secure with electrician tape or the like).
