Wiring in a DIN TV

Hi all, first of all, sorry if what i'm about to ask has already been talked about, I have done searches on the topic but can't find the exact information I require.

I am considering ordering this,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-TFT-LCD-Car...hZ014QQcategoryZ67772QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Quseations:

1) The spare DIN socket in my car looks like there is frame(if you get what I mean)already in it, so how does it come out to put in the TV.

2) how do you wire it in because there is no ISO plug/socket on the unit as you can see in the pictures, and aslo is there already wires behing the spare DIN socket for connecting it up.

3)Will the fuse take the load of it aswell as my CD player, I would think it would as they will not both be on at the same time

4)Where is the best place for the aerial

Cheers.

1) The spare DIN socket has s shelf in it. Just pull it and it will come out.

2) You probably have to connect/solder the wires to the ones for the stereo.

3) Fuse would probably be OK. Hopefully it has its own one too.

4) I would guess the roof ;)

Thanks for the information, very useful. Just went out and the spare DIN tray pulled straight out ( I was amazed by the amount of room there was behind). There only seemed to be one ISO plug, but I can't be certain as I don't have keys to remove the cd player. If there isn't a second ISO plug, can you buy spliters, as I could cut the second plug off and solder the tv straight to it

Thanks

Lots of people have been able to remove the radio using cable ties in the little slits at the side...couldn't manage it on mine tho. I would think you could buy a splitter from an online car audio place or ebay. Or just buy an adapter and use the bits to make up your own cable.

Oh and if you want to sell your little DIN tray rubber mat, let me know as mine didn't come with one :( ;)

Strange...my 2007 Cupra had one, maybe they only come on the newer ones.. I'll add it to the shopping list then

Personally I would give that TV a miss. Its bound to be cack and be a potential fire hazard.

Yea, well my last car had it from new and I thought it was standard. It's on ETKA. Stops phone etc moving around...I dont use my tray for anything now.
