just been having a play around, and in the convenience menu, there's a "winter tyres" option . . i've not looked in the manual :( but there's nothing on it one here so thought I'd throw it in the mix!!!

You can change a maximum speed it seems, mine's set at 150 or 155 at the moment
but what will this do? surely I won't limit the speed of the car??

at first I thought that it was to do with 'winter tyres' being bigger, therefore it would adjust the speed reading accordingly but I think that's totally wrong. . .

anyone shed any light?

Fairly sure its just a speed warning, as generally people fit winter tyres with a lower speed rating. Dont think you can fine tune your vehicle speed/tyre circuference anywhere in the MFD.

ye but there's a different setting for the speed warning. . . I'll have a play around with it tonight.

ye, you're right it's just cos winter tyres have a different speed rating. . .

when you set the "winter tyre" speed, whenever you go above the set speed, it beeps and displays "WARNING Winter Tyres"

whereas the speed warning setting just beeps I think . . .
